Wow, time sure does fly by quick. It's already 2008 and MegaMan Storm has just recently turned 2 years old! Our history stretches back much further than that though. For 2008, our goal is as always: expand the site in as many ways as possible and to provide the best MegaMan content we can make. The new forum is just the beginning, and the first big step in the New Year. We thank you for visiting the site, and we hope you guys enjoy it!

News / Site Updates
It has arrived... - May 11, 2008, 04:06 PM
After the two long months of hard work and determination, the update is here; welcome to MegaMan Storm v6.0! Spring has sprung and MegaMan Storm has recieved a fresh coat of paint. Although it may just look like another website layout upgrade, this update has been the biggest overhaul the site has experienced in it's lifetime. Every single page has been coded from ground up for best compatibility, functionality, and to comply with today's latest standards in website coding. In fact, this layout update makes other ones look like a lazy job. To be perfectly honest, I was a little lazy when I did the previous ones. I am also proud to say that the new layout is perfectly compatible with the following browsers: IE 6.0, IE 7.0, Netscape, Opera, FireFox, and Safari. Problems may occur if your browser does not support CSS, so be sure to download the latest version of one of the browsers listed above.
Anyway, on to the features! Besides the brand new look, one of the most important highlights is the forum and site integration. If you have not already noticed, there is a little blurb to the left just under the banner either welcoming you as a guest, or a user. Although it is subtle right now, the wealth of other features that we will be able to apply to the site is simply awesome and we will be taking advantage of them later in the very near future. Right now it may seem almost nothing, but this is just a small taste of what is to come. It is still cool though, and I hope you guys find it more convinient to check your messages by just going onto the main home page. Like I said though, this is only the beginning.
Other features include things such as small content updates that should've been done a long time ago, working RSS for the news, a little menu for the humor column for better navigation, and a nice show/hide function that I have applied to the game pages. It's a really neat function that allows you to fold up the information under each of the headings of your choice (ex. Story, Review, Screenshots, Resources) that may prove useful to making the content that you would like to appear on the page smaller, less scrolling and faster access to your information. As well, the listings of the games for each of the series has been changed to minimize scrolling and to make it look a little more organized.
Now for the content updates we have a really nice treat for you guys; brand new humor column! I know, it's crazy that we've actually released another one as they are thought to be extinct. This one is titled "20 Years And Counting, Part 2", the follow-up of part one. Next up on the list is the openning of our MegaMan Starforce series section! We have the latest review of the game written by our very own MMXForever. As well, MegaSonic55 has yet again written up a few boss guides for the site. This time they are for MegaMan Zero and MegaMan Zero 2, with more on the way. From the staff and I, we thank you for your contributions.
Some things, sadly, didn't make it into the layout (for now). Amongst them, I will continue to work on a function to integrate a layout changer, and I can promise you that more user-based content is on the way, such as User Ratings. For now, however, that is all I wanted to say and I hope you guys enjoy the new layout and features!

Mega Man gets in Guiness Book of World Records - April 29, 2008, 02:23 PM
Unfortunately its not for anything really good. Mega Man got in wit the "Most Number of Games In a Single Series". Though it lists the record as 46 (oddly enough, they include Starforce 3 in this number), the number is actually higher if you include remakes such as Maverick Hunter X, and spinoff games like Mega Man Soccer and Mega Man Battle and Chase.
In other words, this is just an official recognization of what we already know, that Capcom is milking the series.
So um yeah....congrats Mega Man.

It's Official! Starforce 3 Japanesse Site Opens - April 25, 2008, 07:03 AM
The official site for Mega Man Starforce 3 is up in Japan. Other then a wallpaper showing off some fo the games characters, the site is pretty empty. Though the site has English as well as Japanese which is great for all of us that had no idea what the heck it said before. The only other info the game gives us is that it will be released sometime in 2008 (I am guessing a fall release).

ScrewAttack looks at Mega Man 2 - April 23, 2008, 10:49 AM
I know this is a little late, but with finals just around the corner, I am hard pressed to find any free time. Anyway this week's video is ScrewAttack's look at Mega Man 2. Mild swearing in the video just in case you forgot when I mentioned it with the last video.
On another note, we have a huge site update coming. Yes it is that same update that we promised you guys way back in March, but UX has been busy with other stuff as well as working on this so we are going to go with the Duke Nukem Forever thinking here and just say it will be done when it's done. Though I can promise you that unlike Duke Nukem, it will be released within the next 10 years.

Starforce 3 in development? - April 16, 2008, 11:50 AM
Mega Man Network's reporting that the latest issue of CoroCoro Comics is supposedly running a Ryuusei no Rockman boss character design contest which could mean that Mega Man Starforce 3 is in the works. All of this is just a rumor at the moment so look for some more info popping up within the next few months.
